My Xbox wireless controller left stick drifts up constantly, how can I get a replacement?

After doing an update on my xbox one wireless controller, which was necessary so that I couldon't use my new headset, the left analogue stick is drifting up which has made it almost impossible to play any games. How can I fix this issue or get a replacement
controller.

Hello Manuel, the standard length of warranty for accessories is 90 days and if you'd like to register your accessory to see if you are still under warranty with Microsoft/Xbox, then you may do so; however, if your device is not within the time frame necessary, then you may choose to either pay for a repair (if available) or go through the extended warranty purchased from place where you purchased it. Typically, a 1 year warranty is for the Xbox console itself and not accessories.

My Titanfall controller left thumb stick is doing it also. Constantly drifting up after I push up. My standard controller that came with my system seems fine. Curious if it's something fixable or deos it need to be replaced. Been over 90 days for the warranty.

Left stick drift is a common issue with controllers. Your best bet is to contact Xbox Support and see if you can have it replaced under warranty.

That's odd that your left stick seems to only drift in the Hitman games . Does the right stick drift as well? I'm assuming that controls the camera and aim.

I recommend opening up the Xbox Accessories app and then go into the Configuration page for your Elite controller. From here scroll over to Left Stick to get into the sensitivity graph. This page will give you a visual representation of the input your controller
is receiving. You can notice from here if your left stick is drifting in general and not just in those games. It's possible that the in game sensitivity settings make it more noticeable then any other games if the stick is in fact drifting after the stick
goes back to it's original position after being pressed.

To compensate you can make a controller configuration profile for the Hitman games and set the left stick to Smooth or Delayed to have some more resistance on how far the controller inputs go. Play around with the slider and choose a setting that best resists
the controller drift. You can set it to Slot 1 or 2 and switch to this profile whenever you play Hitman.
