    My xbox turns itself off at random times


    I've already reset the power supply and it doesn't seen to have a problem, it is solid while when it's plugged into the console . Tho for some reason for the last couple of days my xbox (xbox one) has been turning itself off at random times tho it seems to be happening when I'm playing a game . When I watch YouTube or Netflix, it doesn't seem to have any problems. Can someone please help?

    If your Xbox console is unexpectedly shutting down, it may be because it's not getting enough ventilation. As I read "it seems to be happening when I'm playing a game" it may be overheating. Make sure there is enough ventilation. I also recommend checking the Xbox Support Article

    My Xbox 360 Slim keeps shutting off every 15 minutes or so.

    It's turning itself off and on at random. I haven't touched the box or my controller since I originally posted and I've seen it come on and off at least 15 times on its own

    My xbox 360 slim will do something similar. It seems to beep at random times, the beep sound is the same as the eject or on/off sound. Most of the time the xbox will stay on and have no problems however sometimes it will just turn off or the disk tray will
    open. I really want to know what is causing this! Haha. If the brick is not unplugged then the xbox will turn itself on and open the disk tray by itself, also randomly. The most worrying thing for me is that it makes the noise at random in and out of game
    play and seems to be harmless except for the few times its opened the disk drive.

    What exactly do you mean?

    Do you mean the console turns on, then turns itself off again? If so, does it turn itself off immediately after turning it on, or does it happen at random?

    Or do you mean that the image on your TV/monitor cuts in and out with a black screen?
