My Xbox system update won't even update.

So I am trying to do this 780MB console update as it's on step 2 of 3. After a while the screen goes black and once the Xbox is turned on. Turns out I have to update it again. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Got Xbox One for Christmas and it won't update. (Initial Setup Problems)

The Xbox we bought will not even make it that far. It goes into the logo screen and straight to the systems error mess. Won't even accept the offline update. This is a mess as my stepson can't even play and my wife got it through her job program and we have
    lost the receipt

Xbox 360 HDD preservation (Blades Dashboard)

The update for Xbox 360 is either downloaded from Xbox Live or updated via a disc or USB drive. A replacement hdd won't force an O.S update to my knowledge.

The main Operating System is stored on a non user accessible flash storage anyway.

If you don't update the console you won't lose the blades.

Xbox 360 S stuck at startup screen

I tried to update my console from a DVD burn of the latest system update as detailed on the xbox site. Now the update disc is in the xbox and the Xbox guide has come up, it still won't let me sign in.
