    My Xbox series X won’t save games


    Hello,

    My Xbox series X won’t save games.

    I’m playing two games on it and both stopped saving.

    I have around 700 Gb of storage available.

    I’ve search the web and tried the following:

    • Clear the local saves for the game, it did not work
    • Clear all saves for the game local and cloud, uninstall the game and reinstall. I’m able to save for a couple of hours and then the game stops saving again.
    • Factory reset the console, reinstall the game. I’m able to save for a couple of hours and then the game stops saving again.
    Both games I’m playing are The Long Dark and Hogwarts Legacy. Both games are doing the same thing.

    This problem started about a month ago. I never had any issues for before.

    Cloud Sync Not Working

    This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

    “Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

    I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

    What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???

    Looks like I’ve found the solution.

    I had two Xbox series x for over a year and never had an issue. But changing the port from the default value on my Xbox having the issue seems to have solved the problem.

    I hope this can help someone else.

    I am sorry to know about what happened. I know how that feels to be in your situation. Let's do our best to get this sorted out.

    It seems like you've already tried most of the proven steps to fix in-game issues. The last resort I have here is for you to perform a factory reset but this time you choose to remove everything. You may as well try to connect using a different network connection if the issue could be related to your network connectivity.

    If you tried the other solutions and still doing the same thing, please report it or file a bug directly to Team Xbox for them to properly investigate the issue. Check your guide here https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/m...

    Is the Seagate 1TB Expansion + hard drive compatible with Xbox Series X?

    So just to double check - if I get a Series X and I plug my hard drive into it, I won’t be able to play MWII? I will have to re purchase the game as the Series X version?
