My xbox series x will not update i ordered a flashdive but it still want update the hard...

Not really...

Xbox Series X games / upgrades / updates has to be installed onto the Series X internal or expansion card SSD,

You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

As an example...

I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.

Hello, I have updated to the new September 24th update but my external media device still does not work or can be detected by my Xbox Series X.

Hi there. I own an Xbox X series and an Xbox S series. The s series for about a week has had the new update but my X still is the old dashboard. How can I have 2 Xboxs in the same household with different updates going on. If an update is being launched it should be sent out to everyone at the exact same time globally. This doesn't even make sense.

Hi Chris, my name is Oskayra and I hope I can provide you with a solution to your problem.

I find it strange that both games work on your Xbox Series S but not on your Xbox Series

A possible solution is to try installing the games on an external hard drive. If games are working properly from an external hard drive, then the problem is definitely related to the internal hard drive of your Xbox Series X.

Another possible solution is to try updating the firmware on your Xbox Series X. Microsoft has released several firmware updates for the Xbox Series.

If you have tried these solutions and are still having problems, you can contact Microsoft support for help.
