    My Xbox Series X will lose power for a split second once every 10 seconds or so.


    My Xbox series x just turned off out of the blue when I was playing a game. It will only turn on for about ten seconds or so and then immediately shuts off. I can’t even hard reset it because it loses power. I have a base at the bottom of it with a light that tells me if the xbox is receiving power, it blinks once every ten or so seconds. It’s only for a split second that the Xbox loses power. I’ve had the Xbox since early 2021.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    To play Gears of War 2 split screen on the Xbox Series X with a guest account, try the following steps:



    1. Connect a second controller to your Xbox Series X.

    2. Launch Gears of War 2.

    3. Press the start button on the second controller to sign in as a guest account.

    4. Once the guest account is signed in, press the start button on the first controller to start the game.

    5. From the main menu, select "Campaign" or "Horde" mode.

    6. Once you have selected your game mode, press the start button on the second controller to join the game as a split-screen player.



    That's it! You should now be able to play Gears of War 2 split screen on your Xbox Series X with a guest account.

    Hi it's happened once or twice this year but it seemed to sort itself out.

    I've tried soft reset by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. Then removing all cords for 10min. Then plugging back in and holding the eject and sync button for 29 seconds and while doing that I powered the xbox on and not releasing until I hear 2 chimes from xbox. I have tried this myriad of times and only get the green screen. This is on a series x

    Xbox button doesn't work.

    Unplug the power cord from the power brick for about 8-10 seconds. That resets the power brick and console so you can turn it on again.

    I have had this happen every once in a while and unplugging the power resets it.
