My Xbox series x keeps randomly disconnecting me from my internet, most of the time this happens when it turn off the console and turn it on the next day but it has happened in the middle of gaming before and happens whenever I unplug the Xbox or hard reset by holding the power button as well as everytime I update the console. When I try to connect to the internet it never lets me in first try, my wifi password is right and the internet works with everything else keep in mind I use wireless and can't use wired internet. It usually takes 20 minutes before it lets me in my internet but it's also taken an hour and more before which really gets me aggravated because I miss out on game time time during the entire day which sucks because I usually play all day. If anyone knows how to fix this please help I've already turned to other threads similar to my problem but none of it worked.

At the back of your router there's a tiny hole you can press using a ball pen for 5 sec to factory reset it. Please note that after a factory reset, you will have to connect to your network using the default Wi-Fi SSID or name and Wi-Fi password indicated at the back of your router or manual.

Yes, Wi-Fi has to deal with software but it's a hardware just like bluetooth. A device won't be able to support Wi-Fi if there's no hardware for Wi-Fi or wireless connectivity or let's simply put it as a wireless card.

This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Let's see what we can do about this matter.

To further isolate the issue, have you tried connecting to a different wireless network like your mobile data hotspot?

Please also try to reset your router by unplugging it from the power source for about 5 minutes. If possible perform a factory reset to refresh its configuration. Make sure that there are no objects or other wireless devices near your console which could also cause some signal interference.

Have you also performed a factory reset on your console?

Thank you for such a quick response. I don't have a wireless hotspot but I am currently doing a factory reset but it asked for Internet and I have to wait another 20 to 60 minutes for it to let me finish the setup before I see results. I had to go to school though so I won't be able to see the results till 3:00pm EST. I have a theory though that the factory reset won't work because it still won't let me in my internet first try for the setup so I doubt it'll let me in after the reset if it won't let me in my internet during the setup.

Thanks for trying. Let's see when it's finished. But I also doubt it since on the first setup you already have experienced the issue.

The other steps we should try next is to reset or factory reset your router. It's still possible that it may be caused by your router configuration and resetting the router should fix most of your connectivity issues. If you have an old or extra router that you no longer use, you may try to use it and check if the issue is still the same.
