So I have a Xbox series X I play it almost every day. One day I go to turn it on and nothing… I tried all the trouble shooting steps and still nothing… it made no sense.. now sense their is almost no way to just take it back to the store I got it from and get another retuned back to me I decided to take it to a professional 3rd party store and have them take a look. They told me the mother board has a short in it.. so I told them

Well I guess I’ll send it in to have Microsoft fix it.. now it’s been at their place in Texas for about 24 hours now and they still have it as processing.. I want to know am I going to be able to still get my console repaired? Even if a 3rd party has already opened and diagnosed it? The repair place did not attempt the repair only

Diagnose and yes it shows signs it’s been opened . But I looked in the warranty exclusions and it looks like I’m fine? Idk… all I know is I’m a lot of money into this thing and I have no clue if they are gonna fix it or send it back .. and I have called support many times and get many different answers but they all keep saying if it’s processing then it’s in good standing… please someone with the same kind of experience can you help?

This is what it says currently does this mean it’s getting fixed or not?

DiRT 3 on Xbox (digital Microsoft Store)

3rd party store? Where exactly? Honestly, I don't know what stores. And it supposes to be digital download (not physical CD copy) because I own Xbox Series S, not X.

What you've screenshotted is a post by another community member on these forums, not Microsoft themselves. But they will still accept an opened console within warranty, but it doesn't mean they will work on it. If they see something that looks like it's been tampered with, they will send it back without working on it per the Microsoft Device Service Terms

no if it was opened they will not touch it and label it as tampered

it does not matter kif they attempted repair or not

its the gravity switch and seal which is broken when you open it that they look at

I believe the process phase is where they would be analyzing the console issue, and seeing if it can be fixed or not. Now it's just a matter of waiting, as the support already told you, they probably got in touch with you in case something went wrong during the procedure.

Yes, these are the current terms, I believe everything will work out so, the mention that further clarifies things is that the warranty will not only cover damages made by users or third parties...

In view of this, you probably won't have problems with your console's warranty, now just wait for the processing phase to finish.
This is what is says currently that’s why I’m wondering does this mean they are fixing it or not?
