In that way the console is not going to be turned on, I do the same when I want to use my wireless controller with my phone or PC.

Besides that there is no way to avoid the console to be turned on as stated in the next related article

Has happened to me twice now. When you first turn on the headset and it connects to the console (in my case the Xbox Series X) it will just shut down the xbox. After that shutdown when you turn it back on again you have to pair the headset to the console again and it will work fine. It seems the issue is specifically triggered by the headset already being connected to the console before they are both turned off meaning that the next day when you turn on xbox and headset they will pair automatically and then bam the screen goes back and console has to be turned back on.

This is a nasty surprise when you're playing an online game, someone invites you to a party so you accept it, turn on headset and then boom game gone.

Any idea how long this will take to fix?

Same issue here didn't happen until just now!

It's so annoying, when i'm working from home I have to unplug my series X because everytime i turn on my xbox wireless headset for a teams metting, it will turn on my series X........ so annoying.
