    Anybody noticed that the quality of the series X clips are really poor and badly compressed almost blocky i have tried both internal and external with the same results.

    I just got an Series X thinking this issue wouldn't exists anymore but its still there i remember recording to my external on the xbox one X couple of months back and it was fine then an update broke the capture all together fixed it now the captures look awful. Currently on ... (rs_xbox_release_2011.210105-1930)

    Xbox Series X 4K HDR blu-ray to SDR bug

    Since my TV does not support HDR, I cannot activate it and it is disabled by default.

    As I really like Interstellar, it was offered to me in 4k without knowing that I do not have a 4k TV.

    What I mean is Xbox series X has a very dark image with HDR blu-ray. But when I watch HDR blu-ray on my PS5 I have no problem.

    I think Xbox series x is not converting HDR to SDR correctly but that the ps5 yes.

    On the other hand, blu-ray 4k comes out very well on a 1080p TV.

    Is there something wrong with the long-form recording option in my Xbox One X? Unable to reliably record for longer periods.

    I have a very, very fast Samsung ssd. It was 200 bucks i think last year for 1 tb. Same issue with xbox one x. I only capture in 4k hdr. Beyond that its pointless. So now, i don't capture. Xbox series x..... come on down!

    I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

    As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

    I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.

    XBOX ONE S poor HDR support with UHD BluRays

    I'm having similar issue with HDR content especially through 4K UHD Blu-ray playback. There seems to be no fix for past 10 months. This is very poor of Microsoft to ignore. Now that Xbox One X is out, it too have HDR issues with 4K UHD player & Netflix app.
