My Xbox series X disconnects from Wi-Fi randomly. What else can I do to troubleshoot?

A few months back my Xbox started randomly disconnecting from my WI-FI. It was only doing it while I was streaming media, like Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Etc. I would have to close the app, go to the setting on the Xbox, and attempt to reconnect. Normally that will work and it will be good for another hour or so before it happens again. It was very frustrating. Recently, it has gotten worse and has started to do it while I play online games. I have attempted to reset my MAC address while restarting my modem. I have selected alternate ports on my Xbox. I have read seemlinly all the troubleshooting steps that the forums offer, but it still doesn’t seem to be a permanent solution. I thought it might be my WI-FI, because I have had problems with my WI-FI in the past, but I don’t experience and kind of disconnect like this on any of my other devices.

Is it my Xbox? Is it my settings? Is it my router? I need help!!! It’s so frustrating.

I see, and what about a neighbor or a friend who lives next / close to you?
Is not that an option as well?

Some routers uses both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequency with a single wifi network.
Are you able to access to your router?
You can disable one of the other via router configuration.
If not, you may need to call your ISP for this purpose

By the way, may I know if you tried resetting your router to factory defaults?

Hey Josef, thanks for the response!

I have not attempted to try a different network, I actually don’t have any cell service where I live so using my hotspot is not really an option.

My modem only has 1 channel, and doesn’t tell me if it’s 2.4 or 5.0.

I have not attempted using an Ethernet cable just yet, but I’m sure that would most likely solve my problem considering having a hard wired connection would be the most reliable, however, my modem is not in an ideal place to run an Ethernet cable to my Xbox, so I have tried to refrain from having to get a super long cable and run it across my home.

We can try to isolate the problem a bit more, for this please tell me:

Did you tried using a completely different WiFi network?
For this you can share mobile data via wifi hotspot and connect the console in that way

Your home network has both 2.4 and 5.0GHZ channels?
If yes, is this happening with the console connected to 2.4, 5.0 or both frequencies?

And, did you tried connecting the console using an Ethernet cable to see if something similar happens?

we have a Wi-Fi extender but it doesn't do much for the Wi-Fi itself my Xbox itself is cabled. the connection is fine it's just that it randomly disconnects

None of these options worked, and my Xbox series x does connect to the Wi-Fi, I have a good connection. What’s next ?
