    My Xbox Series S won’t show up on the TV


    I just got a new Xbox series S. It turns on and everything, connected to controllers and is able to be turned off by a controller as well. The problem is that it won’t show up on a TV screen. I have tried multiple TVs and HDMI cables, and other Xbox’s worked on this TV. It is a Roku TV.

    I tried putting it into low resolution mode because it said resolution not supported on a different TV, but it still wouldn’t work after I did that. I’ve tried everything I could think of in an hour and a half. The TV even recognizes that an Xbox is being plugged into it but it never shows up. My friends Xbox series X worked when I hooked it up to the TV so I think there’s something wrong with my Xbox, but I don’t want to return it yet.

    Apparently the problem really is on your Xbox One Series S.

    Because if you've tested it with several HDMI cables on several TVs and it doesn't work, it's very likely that it's the console.

    I’ve made sure of that and tried it on multiple TVs with multiple different cables. I even tried a different Xbox. The other Xbox showed up on the TV, and I unhooked it and used the same HDMI cable on mine but it wouldn’t come up.

    Use the TV remote SOURCE button and ensure it is set to the correct input. ie HDMI1, HDMI2 etc that the console is connected to.
