My Xbox series s keeps coming up with "your Xbox can't save anymore data for this game" is...

Unfortunately you cannot delete cloud saves or even manage cloud saves on Xbox One. Local data is backed up to the cloud automatically and overwrites an data to keep the cloud saved up to date with the most recent save in order to recover your saves in the
event the data get's deleted locally on the console.

Xbox One cloud saves do not have a limit and grows as your game library grows so if you can't save anymore it is more than likely because your internal hard drive does not have enough space to save any new games.

Can you further explain what error you are getting when trying to save?

Wow, just lost all of my save progress and realized that you can't even get to your saved data anymore on the console. I kind of consider keeping my save game data straight a basic component of a decent console. Xbox is not making me love the new console
experience right now!

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???

What would you suggest:

1. Buying the game digitally in my One S so that both the game and data transfer easily to the Series S?

2. Buy the digital game on my Series S and have the saved data there once I log in?

usually when you get this message you have a whole ton of safe files, you need to delete some of them. each game is only allocated a certain amount of space in the cloud, and no it is not public how much per game

As long as you keep your current one you won't lose any progress
