My Xbox series S is connecting to a Cogeco connection but not my actual Bell connection

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Xbox Series S not connecting to your Bell connection.

Please check for connection conflicts to do this forget the Network on Xbox by going to Settings > General > Network Settings > Set up wireless network.

Select your Bell network and choose Forget Network.

Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by entering the password again.

And make sure that there are no devices blocking the connection or limiting connections such as MAC filtering or device limits. To check on this, log into the modem’s admin page and disable any device blocking or filtering features.

Next is to update firmware for Bell Modem because an outdated modem firmware can cause connectivity issues by logging into the modem admin page and look for a firmware update option. Update the firmware and restart the modem.

Then assign a Static IP to your Xbox to ensure a stable connection and avoids network conflicts. To do this, go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings on your Xbox.

Note down your IP address and enter it manually as a Static IP.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly connect to your network via an Ethernet cable temporarily. When this wired connection works, the issue is likely tied to the wireless settings or hardware.

I've checked my modem over and there are no updates for it at the moment and everything else I use (phone, tablet, TV) all connect perfectly fine, so it can't be that.

I've had to do the Forget Network trick multiple times in the past but now it just isn't working anymore, even after clearing cache and restarting my console and modem.

I did get my Series S second-hand used from my local pawnshop so It might be having some hardware issues..

Xbox One S, not series S. And I just tried and it says it connected on my phone but “can’t connect to the internet”,on my xbox

No my Xbox 1 is saying same thing as well as my s series

My Series S cant connect, load games, or anything. My wifes xbox one is having no problems whatsoever. We are in the SAME house and using the SAME internet connection.
