My Xbox Series S Can’t Run Any Games

I bought an Xbox Series S awhile ago and played it for like 1-3 months and then one day it started crashing games when launched. The only games that don't crash are Rocket League and Minecraft. Meanwhile, GTA sits in an infinite loading screen or crashes at the R symbol, Rainbow Six Siege crashes after 5 seconds of showing the cover, Elden Ring shows black screen and then crashes almost immediately, and basically every other game freezes and crashes after a few seconds. What, the, ****. I’ve unplugged and replugged, cold reset, restarted, cleared cache, and factory reset the console at least 3 times and it still doesn't work. Everything else works it just crashes upon starting any games beside those two I mentioned, has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it? What a waste of $300.

I sincerely do apologize for the inconvenience you are facing right now with your console.

It is possible that a corrupted external hard drive has caused the issue. If you have one connected, please turn off your console and then disconnect the external hard drive. Turn on the console without it and see if you are still experiencing slow performance issues with the console.

If the same issue persists after doing the steps that I have provided, there seems to be a hardware failure with the console already. Same issue on series S can’t play any games digitally downloaded

Xbox One S, not series S. And I just tried and it says it connected on my phone but “can’t connect to the internet”,on my xbox

So I had a series s before this series x and I could’ve sworn whenever a game was opened it would automatically show I’m quick resume and it’s not doing that on my series x I can’t pin any games except cod vanguard

On the Series S or Series X, games which are "Optimised for X/S" or games specifically designed for those consoles have to be run either from the SSD in the console or the Official Storage Card. They can't be run from any other external drives. Other games (Xbox One games etc) can be run from an external drive.
