    My xbox series controller has randomly stopped working and will no longer work


    I usually play on my pc with my xbox controller connected via USB. Today when hopped on and played for 2 mins, I've noticed none of my inputs were going through and the controller was not on. I tried putting in new batteries but it wouldn't turn on. I again then tried plugging in with USB, tried multiple different ports only for it to still not work and make a werid buzzing noise from inside it. I have no idea if something has fried the components and is done for good or its a software failure within the controller.

    Its unlikely software is causing the buzzing so sounds like a hardware failure.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. Does it work on the console or is it having issues there as well? Is the buzzing constant? Does it sound like an electrical buzzing rather than the any of the vibration motors going off?

    Nope, it doesn't work on my console or wireless. When plugged in with USB cable, the buzzing is constant and sounds like an electrical buzz. The vibration motors don't seem to go off when this buzz happens.

    Please perform a powercycle to fix the issue.

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Unplug your console for 5 minutes.

    3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    Also have you tried a different controller?
