I understand you need help on your video problem.

If I may ask, were you able to change HDMI cables and check if that is the problem? And how about using another TV just to isolate where the issue is coming from?

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

My xbox one x has an issue with loading games in HDR. When a game or netflix starts up. My screen dims dark. Like it fade away. All colours are dark and not bright.

I have a 4K/HDR tv with a 10 bit panel. And it doenst work.

I tried everything. Switching settings from my tv and xbox, hard reset, different HDMI 2.0 port and cabel. Only HDR in 8 bit mode doenst go dark. But I know my TV has an working 10 bit panel that works with other content beside my xbox one x.

Same here. It looks as if you have screen dim on as a power saving feature. The problem with this bug is that dims the screen as soon as you start and play an hdr game or app.

I tried all that and after the reset I don’t have the flicking for now, but my screen is still grainy. I’ve tried 5 different HDMI cables and different hdmi ports on my tv. Thanks for the reply.

Hello. I have been playing with my brand new Xbox Series X for about a week now and everything has been fine until I found out that I could turn HDR on for the X because my TV supported it. Ever since I’ve turned this on, games have a 1-2 second black screen right as they launch and whenever I am in a game and press the guide, it looks a tiny bit blurry. (Note: This only seems to happen with HDR on, and only happens while I am currently playing a game). Does anyone know what the problem is?!?

Not a problem with the system or tv at all, your tv/ Xbox is just making sure they are both launching in hdr format. Some TVs also do it differently. I have the x900h Sony and it does this too. As for the blurry that your getting it should be able to get adjusted in the settings either on the tv or calibration on the Xbox. Hope this helps
