    my xbox says my controller needs a update.


    When I plug in my controller it says it needs a update but when I go to update it it says no updates needed but when I plug anything else in or turn on a different controller it does that. Its been doing it for a while.

    Xbox controller keeps asking for update on series x

    Hello Ron, I wanted to thank you again for the solution you gave me , but unfortunately it didn’t really work out for me, i used my computer to update the controller and I didn’t see an Update icon or anything that i could click on to Update the controller, it only says “Configure” I plugged my controller on my xbox again and the same happened (Your controller needs an update).

    The solution is very simple. Have you updated your controller? I have the same thing with my controller too. By updating it: go to the Xbox accessories button and connect to the Xbox using an usb cable. If it does need an update, a message should pop up saying an update is mandatory.

    My Xbox One Controller wont Update, i am currently at firmware version 2.3.2381.0 and want to update to 2.3.2385.0 and i cannot used my headset adapter. When i try to update it says no update available.

    I have two Xbox One Wireless Controllers with one that has a 3.5mm jack. The Controller with the jack updated to Firmware 2.3.2385.0 and didn't need to be connected to the Console by the USB Cable at all it just needed to be turned on. The other Xbox One
    Wireless Control that does not have the 3.5mm Jack has 2.3.2381.0 Firmware Version Update unable to Update to Firmware 2.3.2385.0 says that No Update is Available. I only need to connect this Controller to the Console with the USB Cable & also remove the Battery.
    I am unable to use this Controller in Party Chat and while i'm playing a game disconnects itself saying Controller Disconnected and the Controller Battery is fully Charged and still turned on. Please help me update my Wireless Controllers so that they both
    have the Firmware update 2.3.2385.0 and i can then use both Controllers again not just the one controller.

    On my Xbox it says no update available for the controller.

    I've spoken with people on the preview program and they say that their Xbox One Elite Controller vibrates with Destiny. They have a different software version on their controller. So it's absolutely not a compatibility issue, but a firmware issue. The
    firmware for the controller that's currently only available on the Xbox Live preview program needs to be made available to everyone.
