My Xbox Profile says I'm playing a game but I am offline.

That's odd. Sounds like it could be just a miscommunication issue between your console and the Xbox app. Could you try removing your account from your console and then adding it again?

Do you have a different account you could use to sign in on the mobile Xbox app? That way we could see if your main account is showing as online to other people, or if it's just you that can see it.

In that case please give this a try:

1. Remove your account from the console:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

• Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

• Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

• When you're finished, select Close.

2. ​Power cycle your console, exactly like this:

• Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds, until it shuts down.

• Unplug the power cord from your console for 5 minutes.

• Plug everything back together.

3. Turn your modem/router off and unplug it for a few minutes, 3 minutes should be enough.

4. Turn your console on.
