My xbox power light is off, Should I worry or not?

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your console.

May I ask if, besides your monitor, you have any other external devices plugged into your console?

Could you try enabling "Customize brightness" and moving the "Default brightness" bar to see if that makes any difference in your power button?

Additionally, would you mind doing a power cycle? like this:

- Press and hold the console's power button until it shuts down.
- Unplug your console's power cord for 5 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back in
- Turn your console on and check if the issues persist.

The power supply should always have a light on it.

Orange light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is off

White light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is in standby (charge controllers, download updates, etc.)

White light on power supply/white light on Xbox One = Xbox One is on

Hi, try power cycling the xbox one (hold power button for 8 seconds) it's known to fix issues like this. The flashing power light when switching off is nothing to worry about, it's meant to do that.

I'm not exactly sure what the question you are asking here is but, I have a feeling it may be related to the background download feature being on. I have that on and sometimes my Xbox lights up and makes noises from time to time after I've turned it "off."
You should probably go mess around in your power and startup settings and you should be able to turn that off if you don't want it on. Don't worry though, your Xbox isn't possessed or haunted or anything.

my xbox is working fine and so is my power supply and the power supply turned red while i was playing and my xbox turned off so i unplugged my power supply and plugged it back in and it works fine now. should i be worried if it will happen again to me.
