My Xbox power brick popped and now my lights in my room are out?!

Then you probably should check the fuses or circuit breakers

Have similar issue but mine also turns off on its own as well. Found out that it was a faulty power brick and had to buy a new one since my unit was out of warranty. Try resetting your power brick by unplugging the brick from the wall with your Xbox turned
off (the light on brick should now be orange). Press the power button on your Xbox and this will cause the light on the brick to turn off. This process just drained the power from the brick. Plug the brick back into the outlet and turn on your Xbox. Hope this
helps. Seems like a recall they aren't doing anything about since multiple people has this issue even new systems fresh out of the box...

Just make sure you console is in a cool area. I have one of my console's power bricks right on top of a vent that blows cool air in. If your room gets to hot, the light on the power brick will turn red until your console cools down.

i had my power brick on my SLIM plugged into the top outlet that is controlled by my light switch,i unplugged it and plugged it into an outlet that wasnt and it works fine. Before the light on my power brick was turning red and now its green when its on
and orange when its off thanks guys.

The color of the light on the power brick is green. No, I have not tried plugging my Xbox into a different socket. Yes the Xbox and power brick are both well ventilated

It appears that it is my hard drive. It just got worse, it will now just restart itself as soon as I turn on my Xbox
