    My Xbox One X randomly overheats and shuts down.


    For the past two months my Xbox One is turning itself off. When I turn it on, it says it overheated. I’ve tried everything I could find on the internet. Soft Factory Reset, Clearing local data, dusting it off, keeping out in the open, switching to energy saver when turning off. I’m at the point where I cannot play anything without it crashing. I’m about to throw it out the window. How do I fix this?

    If Thai happens in all games you could try to factory reset the console and delete all content, if that doesn't solve the situation you will need to take it to a professional as it might need to check that the fan is working properly

    Looks to be an issue with Borderlands GOTY only on the One X.

    I've been playing it on both my Original One and One X and it shuts down randomly only on the One X, with absolutely no issues on my original Xbox One. Others have the exact same issue over at the gearbox forums.

    Hey Sami-memo! If you have an original Xbox One, you may need to get a new power supply pack. If it overheats or shorts out then it can cause your Xbox to shut off randomly.
