My Xbox One won't let me connect to my profile/gamertag

Hi,

I got an Xbox One from a friend who already had an account with two gamertags. I had my own account and created a gamertag, played for three months without any problem, then purchased a month of xbox live and played again for a about a week without any major
problem.

Then this morning I turned the Xbox on, then the controller, but a message came a the bottom of the screen saying "sorry Eric, try to connect through the Xbox guide" (or something like that). So I tried but the window that normally pops up for me to enter
my password is stuck in the loading process. The little white circle has been doing its thing in the middle of the screen for hours but nothing happens.

What I already tried :

- Restarting the Xbox

- Unplugging the Xbox then starting it again

- Checking my Xbox live settings (everything's fine)

- Checking my internet connexion (ditto)

Can somebody please sacrifice a virgin in his backyard so I can play Rainbow Six again ?

You need to reset the console to the factory settings. In this way, you can log in again your gamertag without major problems.

You will need to do a soft factory reset in order to fix this.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? screen, select: Reset and keep my games & apps

Once your console starts up again, you should be able to connect your profile. Please let us know if this fixes it for you!
