My xbox one wont detect my seagate

I was playing MWII with my buddy one day and the game started to glitch, freeze, and crash. After a reset, trying to open games resulted in “you dont own this. Go to Microsoft store.” After a night of power cycles and other fixes, my xbox would not detect my Seagate. I have honestly tried everything. I got the seagate to connect briefly to my xbox once and when I went to check if my games were ok, it told me that it was half full of content but after looking at the content, there was nothing in the storage. Ive plugged it into every usb port but it still wont work. But i know that the usb ports work because my wired controller lights up in all of them. The seagate even lights up and doesnt flash or show any reason to not be working. Im at the point i want to buy a new xbox series but dont want to if I can get it fixed. Did i lose everything or is there a way to get it working again? (I also received System Error: E102 10070C02 8B060008 | what is this error code??)

Hello HINEKICKER, from your description I see that you have two situations, the first is your external HD, try connecting it to a normal PC to see if it turns on and is recognized by Windows.

The second would be the console with the E102 error, they can mean many things, including system or hardware.

Try resetting the console while keeping games and apps.

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

I know a lot of places wont accept returns on storage devices but if they do I would return it. but if not I would try troubleshooting it. Here is two websites one from xbox and one from Seagate themselves on troubleshooting the Seagate drives for xbox one.

it just says formatting and nothing is happening, is there like a certain time I wait before its done formatting

Try formatting it on the PC using NTFS and see if that helps.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
