My Xbox one won't connect via wifi

It's my wifi won't connect to my xbox everything else works fine on the wifi but the wifi won't connect to my xbox one x

What exactly is your Xbox console model? What exactly is the error message you get when you try connecting to Wi-Fi?

You mentioned you've already reset your router and Xbox. For Xbox, did you mean factory reset by keeping your games and apps?

Alternatively, please try to use a different router or if you can access your router dashboard or settings, please try to change your Wi-Fi or wireless channel to a different one.

It still won't connect to wifi. I just brought my router and hooked it up via lan cable. It works that way. Wired connections are better anyway.

The laptop is connected via Ethernet to my router. The aim of connecting via my laptops wifi is to enable me to access a greater selection on Netflix.

Does the Xbox One actually allow connections via ad-hoc wireless networks?
