My Xbox one s not booting at all

It's an Xbox one S and no it doesn't display on my screen at all. It is plugged directly into the wall with no extensions or power cables. I did the boot-up method you wrote down more than once and still no luck.

What lag? I don't get any lag on either of my xbox ones at all.

If a xbox 360's ui is faster than their xbox ones then something isn't right.

I seem to remember Smiles saying it takes over 2 minutes their xbox one to boot up properly in the past & that definitely isn't right.

Both mine are in energy saving mode & take 10-15 seconds to boot up.

UPDATE : I have resolved the situation! While I can't call this a guaranteed solution but I'll just explain what I did.

I used to own a One X. I gave that to my brother over a year ago when I acquired my Series S. I went to his house tonight and played on the One X that I gave him which still had my profile on it. Once I signed in I checked my game library and sure enough, L4D2 was there (whereas on my Series S it didn't show up at all) I installed the game on the One X and booted it up and it worked.

Came home later, unplugged my Series S for a few minutes, plugged it back in and booted it up and lo and behold, there it was in my library!

I'm no genius but my only guess is that some wires got crossed with the license for the game and my profile/consoles. So for all you Series S owners, find a friend or relative that owns an Xbox One and try to install the game on that and then see if it shows up in your Series S library.

Is there some specific information/feedback you're looking for? I have an original Xbox One, Xbox One S and an X. Each console boots up faster than it's predecessor. I upgraded for the speed and picture quality. My original still does a great job.
