    My Xbox one S keeps having no sound


    Every few days my Xbox looses all sound. It isn’t the TV as this still works. i have tried replacing the hdmi cable and it still happens. It can be working one minute and then it stops working and i can’t get it back, then it wills suddenly work again later on in the day.

    Please make sure all the cables of the console are connected properly like the HDMI cable.

    If it's securely connected, please try a complete power cycle by doing the steps below.

    1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

    Keep in mind if you have an xbox one s or x you must enable UHD and HDR mode

    For the S you must turn off HDR when playing xbox games otherwise you lose sound I know because I losr sound while playing tomb raider on my s unit

    The cable will keep my Xbox one s controller active but the light won't come on and it isn't charging.

    It sounds to me like the controller needs some kind of update to allow the old Xbox one battery.

    Hi Sara, I have tried that as well and still nothing. I keep hearing a buzzing sound when I plug the power cord into my XBox One S, but still no power light. I may have to look into servicing it
