My Xbox one s keeps freezing and has a black screen

let's try these troubleshooting steps:

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You'll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don't let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low-resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

In either case, this will start up your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480).

To change this setting, press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide. Go to Profile & System> Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

If you're required to complete these steps on every startup, change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the section below, "Your screen is blank, and you use an AVR in your setup."

I bought my Xbox One S in December 2018 and currently i'm experiencing 2nd black screen in a few months.

I got first black screen in January 2019 and got my xbox fixed by Microsoft. Now in June 2019 i got 2nd black screen. So frustrated!

I'm curious what did they fix? What is causing black screens? I'm also playing my games on external hard drive to not strain the internal hard drive but black screen keeps happening.

I've tried troubleshooting steps (except the usb update cause i don't remember my dashboard version and i still have black screen) so i'm confused nothing works.

I'm thinking if it gets fixed for a 2nd time i'm going to sell my Xbox One S and buy an Xbox One X so maybe i would have better luck with different hardware. I really don't know... my white Xbox 360 Pro is still alive and never got red ring of death and
Xbox One S keeps breaking with black screens. I'm lucky with Xbox 360 but so unlucky with Xbox One S. I'm so disappointed with Microsoft hardware.

Wish I could finish the campaign. I keep getting black screen and my xbox freezes everytime i try to play it.

A bit late to the party but I'm having the same freezing issue. I just bought the Titanfall XBox One bundle. The Titanfall game was a digital download and it keeps freezing after about ~7 minutes of gameplay. It starts off with the audio going bad and then
i get a freeze/black screen. I'm thinking it has to do with the digital downloaded games on the store.

WHEN I TRY TO PLAY ONLINE MY SCREEN WILL LOAD THE PICTURE WITH THE EAGLE ON IT BUT THEN IT FREEZES ON A BLACK SCREEN AND MY XBOX FREEZES.
