My Xbox One S isn’t working

When I turn it on, there’s no image on the TV screen and no controllers will connect to the xbox not even wired ones, I then try to press and hold the sync and eject button to factory reset the xbox but instead of making a second ‘ power on ‘ noise it just turns off completely. Does this mean that the Xbox is now done with or is there any sort of way I can try and fix this without taking the xbox apart?

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

Please check if the problem with the console image also occurs when connecting it to another TV or monitor, if possible, also try using another HDMI cable.

Regarding the problem entering the troubleshooter, did you make sure to do the process correctly?

The link and eject disc buttons must be held down all the time, and the power button must only be pressed once.

I am sorry you are having to deal with your Xbox not working, I understand how frustrating this is. Based on your description, your console may need to be serviced, but please try these steps first, if you haven't already:

Unplug your console from the outlet, unplug all connected devices (if any) from your console and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes before plugging everything back in, this will clear the cache. Plug your console back, this time on another outlet, and check if the issue persists. Try doing the steps to manually bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter again (the press and hold sync and eject procedure). It's unlikely to be an issue on the HDMI cable, but test other cables and ports on your TV as well, if available.

If the issue persists, your Xbox will need to be serviced. Please take a look at this support page for information about your warranty, and how to submit a service order request, if available:

I have already done every step in the book and it just isn’t working. I am trying to see now if it is just a console issue and am trying to see if it works on my Xbox one. Is there anything else I can do on my end to ensure that I can play on my Series s?
