my Xbox one s is having missing resolutions and artifacts i tried factory reset and restart

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

Unfortunately, this is normally an indication of a hardware problem.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

- Have you already tried changing HDMI cables or HDMI ports on your TV/monitor?

- Are you using an HDMI hub/splitter with your console?

- May I ask which video modes are enabled at Settings > Genereal > TV & display settings > Video modes?

- Besides your TV/monitor do you have any external devices plugged into your console?

I have access to windows and I tried that and it said my controller was up to date. My console is the Xbox one S and I don’t believe it is. What I have done so far is restarted my console, power cycled my controller, reset the connection between my controller and Xbox, factory rest my Xbox, and tried a different controller and the same issue occurred.

Same issue with my cable through xbox one. I've tried literally every combination of resolutions including a factory reset... the problem is seemingly random just have others have said.

I'm having the same issue in my nephew's Xbox one s. I tried cold rest and factory reset and still having issues. It is asking to sign in with a controller.
