    My Xbox One S Controller keeps disconnecting


    This issue has been happening for 3 months so far.

    Ive already done the following

    • bought new batteries
    • bought new controller
    • used a wire
    • turn console on and off
    • re synced the controller
    • updated the controller
    • did the power cycle by holding down the on button on console, and left it disconnected for a while
    • deleted me xbox profile and added it again then reconnected to controller
    The longest I had it working was 48 hours but then the controller keeps disconnecting.

    I don't know what to do, I really don't want to buy another xbox, Ive only had hit for 3/4 years.

    I only have sims on my console. I don't understand the issue is and its really frustrating.

    And I dont have any other devices near that can pick up on the console.

    Is there any other way around it before buying a new console.

    Hi Erin! Sorry to hear about the issue. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in.

    Since you've already tried multiple controllers and the issue keeps happening, most likely it's an issue with your Xbox console. Just make sure to remove or turn off any wireless devices near you that could potentially cause interference.

    For your console, our best option is to perform a factory reset to refresh the system and remove potentially corrupted data. First, you choose to keep your games and apps but if it's still happening, last resort is to choose to remove everything.
    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
    On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

    There's possiblity that it may be a system bug, so I suggest that you report it via Report a problem app for the Xbox Team to properly investigate the issue and who knows it will start working normally after the new updates.
