My Xbox one S blinks to a black screen for a second every 10 seconds. On a 4K Toshiba tv. I...

I try the procedure when the screen is black at the start. I pushed xbox and eject buttons during a long moment, the console started, I heard a sound after 10 seconds but the Xbox button didn't blink. Of course, the screen is still black. Just for info,
when I connect my second console (Xbox One S), it works without any issue (same cables, same tv input).

Hi I'm a little late to this. I have a newer Samsung SUHD 65in 4k TV that I just purchased last year. I have this same issue with my Xbox One S. When I put my xbox one S into 4k settings my tv goes black every so often as well. I have noticed if i unplug
the hdmi cable and plug it back in. The screen will sometimes rapidly flash to black over and over every 2 seconds. I then restarted my xbox one s and it went away. However my tv still flashes to black on 4k settings but currently it does it every 30 mins
or so, very annoying. So it is not a tv issue it seems like its an Xbox one s communication issue with the tv.

So is there any xbox updates on this?

I recently bought an xbox one s on facebook marketplace and It will not work on my TV (not smart or 4k) or my sisters Samsung TV (not smart or 4k) but it will work on the 4K Toshiba Smart TV.

only issue on the 4k TV is that randomly every few minutes the screen will go black for a second then comes back and it will not let me switch above 720p as when i try 4k and 1080p it will just stay black screen.

I feel like it might be the HDMI port on my xbox one that might be dodgy.

(I have tried multiple HDMIs and I’ve done a hard reset and a reset through the settings and nothing is working)

I can provide more information if needed.

Also my friend brings his xbox one around a lot and his xbox one s works on my TV (Not smart or 4k).

not sure if this helps but its worth a try Select Settings. Under Display & sound, select Video output. Select TV resolution, and then select either
720p, 1080p or 4K UHD, whichever is best for your TV. Note If you don't see the resolution for your TV, make sure to set TV connection to Auto detect.

I have the same problem. I just purchased a Xbox One S the video goes out for a second or two while anything is done movies, games or stream/cast etc. My TV is a M70-D3, when I stream straight to the TV it works without an issue. I just purchased a Samsung
UBD-K8500 to help test this, streaming, playing 4k or even 4k hdr media works no issue at all. Switch cables / or go back to the xbox and guess what-my video starts to blink every few minutes. Really looks to be a One S issue.

well black screen happened to me twice, but these times were different... it kept on blinking black screen and going in and out of black screen every ten seconds... eventually kicking EVERYONE out of a middle of a game...
