My xbox one power brick shuts off after i turn on my xbox

I had the exact same problems as you with the turn on function and weird controller behavior after. Turned out it was a defective power brick for the Xbox One. I only found this out after the power brick overheated and shut my Xbox off in the middle of Madden.
If you touch your power brick and it is hot to the touch (it should only be slightly warm) then you have the same issue as I did and you should return it to the store for exchange. I did this and the turn on feature works perfectly on the new one.

My xbox shuts down instantly after turning on. It displays 2 blinks before turning off. Any solution guys?? please help.....

Sounds like a bad power brick. Would need to send it in to get a new one put in

I just set up my console a few minutes ago, and it also took a long time after the update downloaded waiting at the green Xbox One screen. I turned the console off by touching the power sensor on the console, and the console started to shut down with a pulsating
power light. After about a minute, the LED on the power brick turned yellow, when the console completely shut down. I then powered it up with the guide button on the contoller, and after a short wait on the Logo screen, setup continued.

Maybe it's really a case of "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Kindly try to reset your PSU so we can isolate the issue. Unplug the power cables from the console, electrical outlet in the wall, and power supply. After 10 seconds, firmly plug the power cable back into the electrical outlet and the power supply. Do not plug the power unit into the console yet.

Check the LED light on the power supply. Depending on whether the LED light is on, off, or blinking.

Firmly plug the power cable back into the Xbox One console. Do not turn on the console. If the LED is still on, press the Xbox button on the front of the Xbox One console. If the console powers up successfully, you’re good to go. If it doesn’t, continue to the next step.

If the LED is not on or if your console won’t start up even after you have reset your power supply unit, then the console needs to be repaired. You can check https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne... as your guide.

Same here the Xbox one isnt booting up for me the power brick is amber then I press the on button the brick light turns white then the whole lot shuts off
