My xbox one just clicks and dies

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

Unfortunately, a clicking sound coming from the console could mean its problem is hardware-related. If that's the case, I'm afraid the only option would be to have your console repaired.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

- To clarify, may I ask I ask exactly what you mean when you say the power supply dies too? Is the LED indicator on it turning off?

- Besides the TV, are there any external devices connected to your console?

- Is your power supply unit plugged directly into one of the wall outlets?

- Have you already tried leaving your power supply unit unplugged from both your console and the outlet for a few minutes? 5 -10 should be more than enough for a power supply reset.

Hey, no the power brick was well ventilated and on a desk, seems the xboxone itself has died. Did a live chat with support and they are sending me a new unit. It is apparently a known fault. I haven't seen anybody else with it online tho.

I am so sorry that has happened to you. By some chance do you have the power supply attached to a surge protector or power supply that is completely filled? There are risks of it over heating due to that fact. Plugging it in directly to a wall unit is your
best option to reduce that issue.

Did you brick your brick? Sorry, couldn't let that one pass. Seriously though, sounds like maybe your power brick is overheating. That baby needs room to breathe just like the console. Is it laying on the carpet or fallen behind your tv stand? Double check
that the power brick cooling fan vents are not obstructed or against the floor or wall. The power brick has to be on a hard flat surface, right side up.
