My Xbox One is stuck on an update with no option of restart or power off, for two days now....

if you unplug it, it should restart if i am not mistaken

Are you having any trouble with your connection? Other devices not working/behaving normally. Maybe you need to reset your router or gateway device. This would not be shutting your console off, just interrupting the update.

Just like if the power went out. I would turn the xbox off.. unplug the device from the WALL Leave it unplugged for at least 40 seconds. Plug it back in and start your xbox up nothing will be corrupted etc. Example people have had outages in the middle of
an update and if you do a soft reset ie unplug device etc then it should be fine. I am assuming you lost connection with the Internet. Which console do you have? What connection do you have Im assuming a wifi connection and not a Ethernet connection. If
you are having a issue with your internet signal I suggest getting a wifi booster. Even though alot of internet companies say you have so much speed etc, you might be surprised an find out that they do throttle their service, They do this to get you to purchase
the highest priced speed option. Most cable installers can verify. Just a heads up for anyone that might value good signal strength if you are having issues. We appreciate your question and value your continued support as a xbox community member. I hope your

If your Xbox does not give you an option to shut off then try to hold the Xbox button that is on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. If that does not work then you may have to unplug the console. Chances are the update will start back
up from where it left off, but there is a chance that it will restart.
