    my xbox one is lagging


    Hello everyone!

    Recently I bought xbox from a guy, Like it was used by him

    the guy said that his xbox controller kept shifting/drifting up because the contoller was broken somehow from the left lateral inferior side(down on the left)e and I thought well its okay I can get a new controller,

    yesterday I bought a new controller and tried it on the xbox itself, the xbox almost"nearly" had the same respond and it some how resist for me to press "A" as a yes command sometimes and when i switch lets say from left to right it goes from "1 to 3" and
    hardly I can get to "2" what can I do I dont think the guy will buy it back from me btw it works great in fifa 18 though like it doesnt happen just only at the home/settings like the general menu

    please help me...

    Have you tried a hard reset to see if it will help? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console. Once it is back up and operational test for results.

    If it was damage to the console that actually caused some internal damage then I would definitely see if you could get the guy to buy it back. Also did you try resetting the console to factory keeping games and apps just to make sure it isn't a software
    issue?

    The steps for that is here Reset Xbox One Console to Factory Defaults

    Be sure you know all the profile email/passwords since that will remove them from the console as well. Your Games & Apps will remain as long as you choose that option.

    If the guy will not buy it back you can also see if you have a Microsoft Store near you to see about the Trade in program

    After August Update consistent lag every 10 seconds or so?

    I'm having this issue on my original Xbox One (had it for about a year) ever since the forced update on Monday. It is especially bad when trying to type multiple messages in Warframe chat, and I can hear my console chugging away whenever I'm doing anything.

    The Store lags, my games lag, the Game DVR App lags, my Settings lag... Everything lags.

    If this is to do with that update, they need to fix this fast. I keep thinking my Xbox One is about to give up and die with a new form of RRoD.

    The new WWII COD is amazing! But it has its problems ...

    I can't even finish a match it is so laggy. I dont think the lag was as bad with my xbox. the xbox one x is horrible with lag.

    Yeh cloud. I get about 50ms on Aussie servers and still get lag. I'm starting to think this has more to do with xbox live than my connection. I have bf4 on xbox one and on PC. I have no lag issues at all on PC yet on xbox one I always experience lag. Even
    on Aussie servers on both. If I experience no lag on PC then it shouldn't lag on xbox either. I get about 25 to 30ms on pc and 50 to 60ms on xbox. Shouldn't be that noticeable, but I experience huge lag on xbox for some reason. Bit strange!!

    I'm not sure all i know is that my cousins play their xbox ones and never have problems with lag, and even when no one else is using the internet i still lag. I go from normal ping to high amounts constantly. It makes my xbox USELESS to play.
