My xbox one has not been connecting to the WiFi.

My xbox won't connect to the WiFi. I have tried a wired connection from a WiFi booster and that still isn't working. Majority of my games require me to be online. I don't understand majority of the technological terminology so any explanation on how to resolve the issue is much appreciated.

Do you receive any specific error code/message? Are you able to successfully connect to another network like a mobile hotspot?

Well, the xbox one uses WiFi direct to connect while the Xbox 360 uses other technology.

In short, the design of the Xbox One and the WiFi hardware card on the console has been problematic for many as far as controller connection. My response is, do what works best and maybe consider re-arranging the room and rooms adjacent so that any WiFi
interference is eliminated entirely. Also consider plugging in the xbox one vs. using a WiFi internet connection.

The same thing has been happening to me with all of my games. They are all Xbox one games so backwards compatibility is irrelevant. It only happens when not connected to wifi
