My Xbox one has damaged my game disc

Recently I have been having trouble with my Xbox reading my game disc (I only play the one game at the moment so the disc pretty much stays in there all the time) so when I try to fire up the game I get the please insert disc message. So I would eject
the disc and put it back in and after a couple of times the game would eventually launch, this wouldn't happen every time maybe one in ten. So this has been going on for a couple of months now, but I could still get the game to work so I just left it be. Until
today, I was unable to launch the game at all so I pulled the disc out to have a look, and no wonder the Xbox can't read it. 1/4 of the edge of the disc has been completely damaged by the xbox, and these aren't little scratches I'm talking about, it's like
the Xbox has melted the disc or something. I'm too scared to put another disc in there from fear of losing another game I've spent $80+ on. Surely this is something covered by Microsoft as it is their product that is destroying the discs?

Strange purple lines on disc

One of my Xbox games has these strange purple lines on the disc. The game loads, but when I try to race, it says the game is dirty or damaged. The line are 2 wide at the the to of the disc

The problem is that you are trying to play several games that are 360 disc based on your xbox one and that are not part of the backward compatibility list. For example RE 4 has a new version for xbox one and you can't use the xbox 360 disc to play it (it
will not read the disc at all)

As for the rest of your disc based games (that are part of the bc list) check if they are scratched or damaged in the surface. There is no reason for a new console's disc driver to have problems in reading discs other than those caused by the damaged or
unknown disc games

only this disc over 30 other disc work okay. try most them on my main profile it says dirty or damaged disc. do EA exchange discs. the disc has no sign of wear or damage
