    with the beginning of the xbox or when watching youtube / netflix, I have no problems. until I place a game or CD in my xbox. from the moment I do that, the xbox is automatically switched off again.

    Assuming you are talking about the game or app crashing and sending you back to the dashboard, you are probably best trying a hard reset at first. Hold the power button in for about 3 seconds (till it basically force reboots) and see if that alleviates
    the issue.

    Oh no! Sorry this is happening have you tried a power cycle? Press and hold the power button till it completely powers down the console approximately 15 seconds and then power it back up.
