    My Xbox one can’t detect my microphone


    Shortly after updating my controller, I notice my microphone is not working. I then go into a party and I get the message "we can’t find a microphone for these people” that’s when I unplug everything, reset my console and it still doesn’t work. Any solutions?

    Bug: Microphone doesn't work after disconnecting Windows 10 streaming

    Okay, I just discovered an issue:

    The Xbox Stereo Headset's microphone does NOT work when connected via a USB hub, even if it's the only device attached to the USB hub. The microphone is detected, but it does not detect any sound in the volume meter.

    As soon as I plug my Xbox One controller directly into the Surface Pro 2, the microphone immediately detects sound.

    party chat on xbox app on pc

    I am using xbox on windows 10 on my pc and it wont detect my microphone.

    I have gone into the settings and allowed xbox access to my mic but when i start or join a party it still wont detect my mic. it just says mic not detected over my name in the party.

    any help would be greatMy Xbox one can’t detect my microphone :)

    my xbox one s will not detect a microphone even though there is one pluged in. I have tried multiple microphones and two diferent controlers and it still doset work

    Hello AmyID,

    What kind of headphones is your son using? These are connected to the gamepad/controller or to the USB on the Xbox One?

    Also, if you start a party chat on the console, does it detect a Microphone or you see on the screen something like "No microphone was detected on these users"? For checking this :

    - Power on the XBOX

    - Press XBOX Button on the gamepad

    - Press left two times

    - Start group

    And you should see that message in there in case that it doesn't detect a microphone.

    Windows 10 Xbox One Streaming microphone not detected?

    That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
    or game chat.

    My microphone shows I'm talking in settings but doesn't let me talk in game or on the Xbox game bar

    If I go in the Xbox game bar the microphone settings detect my mic and the bar goes up but when I'm in a game or party nobody can hear me
