My xbox not read a original game for xbox normal

Sorry for my english.

i have a xbox 360 slim with 4GB of memory unit. I buy HD 200Gb original microsoft and i installed it in my xbox, but when i enter the game, i receive the message " Unable to read the game , try to get it. ".

The game works because it has been tested on a xbox 300 GB whit memory unit.

My Xbox is six years old, and it doesn't only do this to certain games. It has done it to various games. And @TheOwenKiller, I'm sorry for being rude. I am never going to open up my Xbox, I do not know what I am doing, so that would not be a good idea.

Also, every time I put in an original xbox game, it reads it right away. I find that very weird that it reads an original xbox game, but not a 360 game.

My info gathered, and confusing it is...;

White, normal xbox 360. No Slim. No fancy smancy stuff.

White, normal xbox 360 controller.

Black and orange Halo hard drive.

No wireless router to connect to my controller.

No wired router either.

I dont have connection to xbox live.

I can play normal 360 games.

I cant play any original xbox games, even the listed ones.

My update is the 2012 version.

It's on normal screen, not widescreen.

My xbox was bought used, so it's not spiffy and new.

My previous xbox, which was the exact system, played originals.

It's local area is in the U.S.A, not anywhere else.

There are no 200gb hard drives for the Xbox. Do you mean a 250gb?

Was the hard drive purchased brand new or used/from a third party like ebay? If it was purchased from somewhere like ebay, it's highly likely to be a knock off and not an official MS hard drive. If you can try testing other original games, that would help.
