My Xbox, my games, Child account

I recently saved up all my money to buy the brand new Xbox Series X. I was supper happy with the Xbox until i found out about the ''parental control''. So i am 15, my parents 100% agree to let me do what i want on my Xbox exept buy games. However, it was not a ''Do you want a parental control game on ur childs account'' option. It was: ''You are a child and you cant do anything without the parental control activated''

This frustrated me A LOT but me and my parents managed to set everything up and it now works ''okay''

The main issue now is that i can't buy the Xbox Gamepass on my own account!

I worked hard to get myself the money to buy this console and even if i bought it feels lie its my parents console.

I feel let down, i spent 600$ on the xbox, 70$ shiping and taxes, 70$ an extra controller, 160$ headset, but its not actually mine. Its my parents Xbox.

Please fix this parental control situation and help me buy the Gampass on my account. If I pay for it i dont want my parents to own it.

If your parents said they don't want you buying games on it, then it sounds like the purchasing option is set to off....as far as I know, there is no distinguisher....you can't allow some purchases (GP) but not others (games).

To buy GP on your account, your parents would need to temporarily allow purchases...not sure what happens if you buy it monthly on a recurring subscription though

If you're using an Xbox One, have the adult account set the console as their Home. That will allow you to share gold/games with the child account. https://support.xbox.com/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

Otherwise, the game would have to be purchased on the child account.

you cannot transfer information games/DLC between accounts.

You can share Xbox live gold status with the home xbox feature. Xbox Home Console

Most games can be shared with the exception of some DLC.

I would suggest you create a new account for the child now and just have them start over.

It is my understanding that the child accounts I have setup for my kids will transfer to adult accounts when they turn 18. This means their achievements and games purchased with the child account will now be a normal adult account.

For example, I have XXX24 setup as the parent account with child accounts YYY24 and YYY25. When YYY24 turns 18 the account is now removed from being a child account attached to XXX24 and is now a standard account keeping the gamertag YYY24 and all achievements
and digital games purchased with that account. Someday when my kid "YYY24" has their own kids it will be a parent account with new child accounts under it.

The only difference between a Parent Account and a Child Account is that one resides under the other. With the right settings, a Child Account can have the same unrestricted access as the Parent Account. My oldest child does not have any restrictions on
their account so it really is similar to a standard account.
