    My Xbox keeps sending me the message "We can't save more data for this game or app", but...


    This message "We can't save more data for this game or app" only appears when I play Minecraft, which itself has been having some issues in the past months. (I won't go into it here but basically Minecraft doesn't seem to be saving my data to the cloud.) This message has appeared before, and when this occurred for the first time, (around October) I cleared local saved games like other posts here suggested and much of my Minecraft data was deleted. (because it only saved locally) None of the other games I have installed have much data saved to the Xbox (less than a gigabyte in total). Basically my question is two pronged; is there any way to stop this message from appearing without clearing local storage and why isn't Minecraft saving to the cloud/is there a way for me to fix it? I know I'm not the only one having this problem with Minecraft for Xbox and I'm eager to hear what others have done to solve it.

    After trying that a few times the message still appears anytime I leave any of my worlds or load into the game.

    Go to Settings>System>Console Information

    And reset without deleting your games. Don't worry about progress, purchases, achievements, etc. You don't lose any data. Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you must have the email and password of each account to enter them again.

    If you play on console, performing a cache clear may help instead of deleting local data.

    Unfortunately the only way to save data to the cloud for Minecraft is through a Realm.

    Try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

    1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

    3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

    5. Your cache should be clear at this point.
