: My Xbox keeps rejecting my new email address

Could you please, elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "canceling my email address"

Just to verify, are you unable to sign into your account on your Xbox 360?

Are you able to sign into your account on the Xbox website?

If you are able to do this, it might be worth to
remove your account and then re-add your account.

When you remove your account, make sure that you select the option that reads
Delete Profile Only to make sure you do not lose any data on your account.

Additionally, before you add your profile once more, make sure to restart your console.

Can I change the email on the overall Microsoft account (that the Xbox profile is linked to) to my child's email, and then setup a new Microsoft account with my original email so I can then just use my Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) subscription from that?

My issue is I need to keep my Office subscription with my email address - - which is also the address of the Microsoft account overall. And my email / Microsoft account is linked to the Xbox profile used by my child.

I'm having several issues with this, and they have to do more with Microsoft Live accounts than anything. 1.My GamerTag MedMan555 is connected to an old email, which is connected to it's own separate Live account. The email account has since expired, and
I don't remember the password to the Live account, so I can't get an email confirmation of the forgotten password. I filled out the questionaire in an attempt to get the password sent to my new email account, but my answers were rejected, primarily because
I'm unable to give the names and subjects of the last emails I received on that account, which no longer exists. I'm in the process of trying to re-establish the email account with yahoo, but have had little to no success with that. 2. I created a second
email account and Live Account to swith tastey poppy to, and the new Live Account under the new email was rejected because MS said it was an invalid email, so I was unable to switch Tastey Poppy from my current working email address, even if I could access
my original email address, which no longer exists. If you're not confused by now, I totally am.

well I remembered my password but it is still linked to my old email address... but the new email address is linked to the BeastlierBeef5 account ? My new email account was put in via my xbox so maybe that's where the problem lies. I now seem to have
2 accounts. This one with the wrong email address... and the one above with my current email address but no links to my games or achievements....

Do you know if there is a way to merge the accounts then? My old email address, that is also a gmail account, needed to be changed due to security problems. I changed my email and want to be able to keep my Gamertag but using the new email address. My goal is to get all accounts attached to the old email changed to the new one for security reasons. I really appreciate your willingness to answer my questions!
