My xbox keeps flickering

For some apparent reason my xbox one x decides to over heat.After that my tv will not stop flickering on and off.I have checked the hdmi and i have tried another tv but it still flickers on and off every few minutes

If you are using a power board with other devices, as well as the console, connected to it try using a separate wall socket to power the console. The console may not be getting the specific power required to function correctly if its connected to a power
board.

I have tried most of the replies here but it think the only option is to either get a new xbox or replace the hdmi

you must verify that the ventilation system is free, the xbox turns off immediately if the ventilation is obstructed

Make sure all vents are free of dust and debris.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't help you will probably need to set it up for a repair.

Try new HDMI cable. If that does not work you might need to replace hdmi port
