My Xbox isn't working properly

Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please select reset then keep games and apps. No worries, no games will be removed, just sign back in using the right account.

You can also try doing an offline system update by downloading the OSU File here.

Once you download the Offline System Update File onto your PC, you can see it as a a zip file so you'll have to unzip onto a USB that's at least 8GB and formatted to NTFS. Once it's all downloaded plug the USB into your Xbox, the offline system update will be enabled.

Now, onto the party chat issues. The first thing you should try is a
power cycle of your Xbox One console. This can help a whole lot of issues that might crop up so always start with that. If that doesn't help, make sure your

controller is updated to the latest firmware version. If at all possible, trying your headset on a different controller and/or trying a different headset is also worth trying. You can also give the

factory reset a shot (while keeping your games and apps) and see if that helps.

Same black screen. Power display shows on, my Tv HDMI input shows receiving signal but black screen on xbox. Home button shows it’s there and option to turn console off or controller off but that is all I can do. Smh !
