    My Xbox isnt detciting wifi networks


    I was on my Xbox S|X trying to play a game, when I realised my wifi wasnt connetcted. I go to “choose a connection” and no networks appear. I then manually put in the SSID and that dosent work either. Ethernet cables are not an option due to the distance between my router and my Xbox being rooms that people use frequently. I have turned off my Xbox and nothing has changed.

    There is a service issue going on at the moment.

    What would a service issue have to do with preventing a hardware from accessing a wifi network

    They are completely separate things.

    My Xbox One X for example, started yesterday and had this issue for a few hours.

    My internet went down for about 15 min during a repair, when it came back up, the Xbox refused to connect to the wifi

    Today, the same thing happened, and it still refuses to connect to my router.

    I set up a hotspot on my phone, it connected just fine and had no issues. I disconnected and attempted again to connect to my wifi and again it failed.

    It isnt a service issue, as it will not even assign an IP to the device from my network. It acts as if the password entered is wrong, but it clearly isnt.

    If a service issue with xbox servers can affect that, then that brings up a can of worms about a lot of things
