My Xbox is starting up but there is no picture but there is noise

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your console.

Would you mind giving these a try?

1 - Power Cycle:

• Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds, until it shuts down.

• Unplug the power cord from your console for 3 - 5.

• I'd also suggest turning your TV/Monitor off and unplugging it for a minute or two.

• Plug everything back together and turn your console on.

2 - Disable/Enable HDR on your TV/Monitor.

3 - Try using a different HDMI cable.

4 - Unplug all external devices from your console's USB ports.

5 - Display Reset:

• If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

• Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.

• Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

• You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Do not let go until the second beep occurs.

• This will start up your console in low-resolution mode.

6 - Troubleshoot menu boot-up:

• Turn your console off and unplug it for 30 seconds.

• Plug your console back into the outlet.

• While the console is off, press and hold the BIND and EJECT buttons.

• Without letting go of them, press the power button once (do not hold).

• Continue holding BIND and EJECT for 15 seconds.

• Your console should turn on and display the troubleshooting menu.

Hello Nova, this is strange, but mode be happening at boot time because the console at the same time it is turning on is trying to read what is on the CD.

The disc you have on the console would be from a game or a movie, have you tried turning on the console, let it go to the home screen and then colcoar the CD to see if it keep doing the same thing?

My console is on, no noise or picture....... Please help

Hello after leaving console unplugged for a while does it still just make the power on noise no picture? DO you have an external HDD connected to console? If so I would unplug that and start console up by itself and see if that works.

It is very normal, both my xbox and PC makes this noise on start up. I believe it is your hard drive booting up.
