my xbox headphones are bugging out

check the headset settings in the Xbox Accessories app. On Xbox X|S and Xbox One consoles, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.

Make sure your headset is updated with the latest firmware using the Xbox Accessories app. On Xbox X|S and Xbox One consoles, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.

In addition, check if you have the right audio settings:

Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the menu. Select the Audio icon to modify the settings. On the next page, you can find three options: Headset volume, Headset chat mixer, and Mic monitoring. Make sure to set the Headset chat mixer to 40-60%.

If none of the troubleshooting steps worked for your situation, reset your audio settings:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output > Audio Testing & Details > Reset audio settings

Its most likely a bug in the firmware, Headphones aren't experiencing this issue to my knowledge and the one's I own transmits sound perfectly

Its been working for year and a half, but after a new payment for Xbox live completely muted?

New controllers, new headphones, new updates and trying everything else.

Its I console bug, which they need to sort out or it goes back to the shop!

Hi, did anything change between the last time it worked properly and when it started having issues? Did you install a system update? Did you change Xbox Live accounts? Those could potentially have caused the issues you're seeing. If not, we can try helping
you troubleshoot from there.

Ok I found out I was holding the power button for the headphones for too long and that was causing the Xbox to turn on. The new wireless Xbox headphones only require a momentary press to turn on and they link to my laptop seamlessly.
