    My xbox has no sound it only has sound when i play game pass games


    my Xbox Series S was working fine yesterday and then today i get on and there is no sound i tried to fix it but nothing. So i went into a game pass game and it worked, the game and dashboard had sound and it was fine but until i get out of the game there’s no sound. And I don’t know what to do i tried resetting my xbox and change the HDMI output but nothing seemed to work. Does anyone know what to do to resolve this issue?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work please try using a different HDMI cable or switch ends of your current HDMI cable.

    A full reset may be needed. Press the xbox power button and hold it until you see and feel your xbox turn off. When you turn it back on it should have reset.

    I recently got xbox live and from here I started getting issues where my games has no sound. I can hear the menu and the dashboard but not the game. I tried to sof reset them hard reset but it didn't work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled my games
    but the problem was still there.
    have you check the sound settings, that maybe the mixer is to chat instead of game?

    I would say hard reset the console maybe? And then manually check the audio settings on the console and see if anything changes.
